Quality Manager

Position: Quality Manager – Thermoplastic Piping & Valves
Location: Lawrence, MA (Corporate Office)
Reports to: Vice-President Of Operations
Department / Function: Operations
FLSA Status: Exempt

Ready to put your stamp on quality?

At Asahi/America, we’re looking for a Quality Manager who wants more than maintaining a system. We want someone who will challenge how things are done, strengthen what works, and lead improvements that can be seen on the manufacturing floor and felt by our customers.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who knows that great quality management is about more than compliance — it’s about people, processes, problem-solving, and continuously raising the bar.

What’s The Job?

As our Quality Manager, you’ll take ownership of Asahi/America’s Quality Management System and lead quality across our manufacturing operations. You’ll ensure we maintain strong ISO 9001 standards while looking beyond compliance to improve processes, reduce defects, strengthen supplier performance, and deliver better results for our customers.

You’ll be visible throughout the operation, partnering with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other teams to solve problems at their source. From audits and corrective actions to PPAP, supplier quality, and continuous improvement, you’ll have the opportunity to influence how quality gets done — not simply document it.

What You Will Own.

You’ll lead and continuously improve our Quality Management System while driving a culture where quality is everyone’s responsibility. You’ll oversee internal, customer, and third-party audits; lead corrective and preventive actions; and use root cause analysis, Lean, and Six Sigma principles to tackle defects, variation, and waste. You’ll manage supplier quality activities and key validation processes, including FAI and PPAP, while partnering with teams across the business to resolve issues and improve product and process performance. You’ll also lead and develop the Quality team, strengthen reporting and training, and identify opportunities to reduce the cost of poor quality and deliver measurable improvements.

What Separates You From The Rest.

You know quality doesn’t improve from behind a desk. You’re a hands-on leader who rolls up your sleeves, gets out on the floor, and works alongside managers and employees to solve problems and make processes better. You bring the technical knowledge — ISO 9001, CAPA, PPAP, audits, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement — but you also know how to apply it in the real world.

You approach quality issues with curiosity and collaboration, not blame. When something goes wrong, your first instinct is to understand why it happened and how the team can prevent it from happening again, not to point fingers or generate another memo. You can move comfortably between the requirements of the QMS and the realities of a busy manufacturing floor, building relationships and earning credibility along the way. You have the right balance of technical knowledge and practical judgment — someone who can understand the standard, talk with the people doing the work, and turn both into solutions that actually work.

Why You’ll Love Working Here.

At Asahi/America, you’ll have the opportunity to lead quality in an established manufacturing organization where your ideas, decisions, and improvements can have a visible impact. You’ll work across manufacturing, engineering, sales, and other areas of the business while helping shape how we approach quality and continuous improvement. We offer medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, and disability insurance from day one, a 401(k) with a generous company match and immediate vesting, continuing education reimbursement, and the opportunity to grow your career with an industry leader.

Quality products. Trusted partnerships. Proven success — that’s Asahi/America.
