Manufacturing Equipment Technician
Position: Manufacturing Equipment Technician
Location: Lawrence, MA (Corporate Office)
Reports to: Vice-President of Operations
Department / Function: Operations
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Keep Our Manufacturing Running. Build Better Equipment. Solve Real Problems.
What’s The Job?
As our Manufacturing Equipment Technician, you’ll troubleshoot, repair, improve, and build equipment that keeps our production lines running safely and efficiently. Every day is different. One day you might be replacing a gearbox or diagnosing an electrical issue. The next, you’ll be fabricating a fixture, installing a new machine, or improving an existing process. If you enjoy solving mechanical puzzles and making equipment better than you found it, you’ll love this role.
What You Will Own.
You’ll become the go-to expert for keeping our manufacturing equipment operating at peak performance. You’ll troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-controlled equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and respond quickly when production needs help. You’ll design and install equipment improvements, fabricate tooling and fixtures, support new equipment installations, and work alongside Production and Quality to solve manufacturing challenges. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn our plastic fusion technologies and help improve the equipment that supports them.
What Separates You From The Rest.
You’re the person everyone calls when a machine isn’t working. You have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and enjoy figuring out why something failed—not just replacing parts. You can read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics, are comfortable using hand and power tools, and have experience with manufacturing equipment. Experience with PLCs, welding, fabrication, machining, hydraulics, pneumatics, or automation is a big plus. Most importantly, you don’t wait to be told what to fix—you see opportunities to improve equipment, reduce downtime, and keep production moving.
Why You’ll Love Working Here.
No two days are the same. You’ll work on a wide variety of manufacturing equipment, not just one production line. You’ll have the opportunity to build, improve, and modify equipment, not simply repair it. We invest in training, including plastic fusion technology and specialized equipment. Excellent benefits starting on Day One, a generous 401(k) match, tuition reimbursement, and a stable company that has been an industry leader for more than 50 years.
