Solutions in the Oil & Gas Industry

Most of the oil refining processes such as distilling and cooking require high temperatures and pressures, which would not allow the use of thermoplastic piping systems. There are, however, several chemical applications that are used throughout the plant. For example, sodium hypochlorite is used to control microbial growth and sulfuric acid is used to adjust pH. These chemical applications are perfect for Asahi/America's line of oil and gas industrial-grade thermoplastic piping systems and valves.

Oil and Gas Valve & Actuators

The American oil and gas industry has been booming with the widespread use of hydraulic fracturing. This rather new “fracking” technology requires a large amount of water with a relatively small degree of on-site chemicals to assist in this application. Asahi/America has a complete package of industrial plastic pipe and valve materials that meets the critical requirements of the oil and gas industry.

Fracking

Applications

The hydraulic fracturing or "fracking" typically has on-site chemical treatment with hydrochloric acid, benzene, xylene and tolulene to name a few. Our Chem Proline® single wall pipe and Chem Prolok containment pipe has been successfully installed in these critical applications. This rugged pipe can handle not only the chemical abuse, but also the physical abuse typically found at these locations. Available with companion valves for the complete package.
