What’s The Job?

Asahi/America is looking for an experienced Machinist / ProtoTRAK Set-Up Person to set up and run mills and lathes for plastic and metal components. This role is ideal for someone who can read blueprints, program at the machine, inspect their own work, and work with minimal supervision.

What You Will Own.

You will set up ProtoTRAK mills and lathes, methodize jobs, and program parts directly at the machine. You’ll work from blueprints and drawings, select proper cutting tools, apply feeds and speeds, and inspect finished parts using verniers, micrometers, gage pins, and gage blocks. You’ll also communicate with your manager when questions or issues come up.

You bring at least 3 years of ProtoTRAK mill and lathe set-up experience, strong math skills, and the ability to work independently. You understand tooling, feeds, speeds, and quality inspection, and you take pride in producing accurate work the right way.

Compensation Transparency.

Salary Range: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour.

The final offer will depend on several factors—such as education, experience, certifications, skills, performance, shift, location, and business needs.
