Asahi/America, Inc., the Wet Process People™, introduces its SDV 2-Way Diaphragm Valve into its Dymatrix™ Specialty Valves and Control Products line. The SDV is constructed with all-wetted high-purity PTFE components and utilizes superior engineering inherent in all Dymatrix™ products. The SDV is ideal for high-end semiconductor and aggressive chemical applications demanding superior performance.
The SDV is available in sizes ¼" through 1", and was designed with a highly compact footprint. A pneumatically actuated version is available in both air to spring close or air to air.
The design criteria of DymatrixTM products provides the SDV with extended cycle life over traditional fluoropolymer diaphragm valves. A durability test was recently conducted which successfully operated the pneumatic SDV valve to over 3 million cycles. The valves were cycled open and shut with a pressure of 58 psi in the line. The cycle rate was 1 cycle/sec for the 1/4"-1/2" models and 1.5 cycle/sec for the 3/4"-1" models. The valves were successfully pressure tested at 100 psi every million cycles.
Its engineered design is consistent with other Dymatrix™ products providing easy integration with existing designs. Unlike conventional valves, the SDV is available with a complete line of end connection options to include standard Flare, Super Pillar, Super Pillar 300, Flowell 20, Flowell 60 and NPT. Various options for actuation, O-ring material and base plate orientation allow the valve to be customized to any application.
