Multiport Type-23 Ball Valve

Asahi/America, Inc., a leading thermoplastics manufacturer providing customized solutions for fluid handling systems in a variety of industries, introduces the one piece molded Type-23 Multiport™ ball valve. With a true union design on all three ports, the Multiport Ball Valve features double O-ring stem seals, which ensure safe operation and provide added protection to operators in the field.

The Multiport Ball Valve's PTFE seats with elastomeric backing cushions ensure bubble-tight shut-off and a low fixed torque, while simultaneously compensating for wear. A built-in spanner wrench on the Type-23 Multiport™ ball valve's handle allows for easy assembly and disassembly if maintenance is required. The valve's integrally-molded ISO mounting pad allows for easy mounting of actuators or other accessories. The valve's standard "L" port ball permits flow from the common port to either the left or right port, or to the "OFF" position.

Asahi/America Vice President of Engineering Valves and Actuation, Leo Lester, states, "Due to its superior design with double O-ring seals, the new Multiport Ball Valve is very safe to operate, especially in severe chemical applications. It provides added protection for operators in the field."

Asahi/America's new Type-23 Multiport™ can provide many different flow patterns, utilizing one body design. The following ball configurations are available: "L" port, Double "L" port, "T" Port and the Cross port ball, which satisfy any flow pattern required manually or automated. The Type-23 Multiport™ Ball Valve is offered in sizes ½" – 4", in PVC, CPVC, PP and PVDF materials. A variety of O-rings and End connectors are available for compatibility with different applications. All sizes are rated for vacuum service.
