Asahi/America, Inc., the leader in fluid flow technology, recently announced the promotion of Daniel S. Anderson to the office of president and CEO. The announcement was made to Asahi/America employees December 11, 2014 by former President and CEO, Hidetoshi Hashimoto, who will remain with the Massachusetts-based company as chairman of the board of directors. Anderson assumed his new position January 1, 2015.

Asahi/America, Inc., has expanded its product offering to include a 3" PVC wafer check valve. Wafer check valves are installed on the discharge side of pumps in applications such as aquariums, water attractions, water treatment and municipalities to prevent back-flow flooding that could seriously damage pump systems.

Mike will oversee Asahi/America's team of Sales Representatives west of the Mississippi River. In addition, he will continue to serve as District Sales Manager for distributors in Northern California and Northern Nevada. Mike will work in assisting Asahi/America District Sales Managers and their distributors in sales and specification efforts for Asahi/America's full family of thermoplastic fluid flow products.

The Series 10's rugged construction, proven design and customizable options make it the perfect work-horse for corrosive industrial applications. The Series 10's enclosure is a die-cast aluminum alloy with a thermally-bonded powder-coat. This combination NEMA Type 4X & 6 enclosure is bolted together in two sections by four M10 socket-head cap screws and fitted with an O-ring between the two halves, allowing the Series 10 to weather harsh environments. The Series 10 conforms to AWWA C542.

The Type-57IL Isolator Lug features a unique lug design where the 316 stainless steel lugs are inserted into the valve body during the injection molding process permanently combining the lugs and valve body into one unit.
