The valve’s True Union design eliminates the need for flanges and permits installation or repairs without expanding the pipeline. It is manufactured from PVC, CPVC, PP and PVDF, and can be used in a wide range of industrial and commercial applications.
The Type 21 offers a pressure rating of 230 psi for sizes 1/2" to 3" and 150 psi for 4" (150 psi for PP, all sizes) at 70° F. The product has an ISO mounting pad integrally molded to valve body for both actuated and manual operations. The Type 21 has double O-ring seals on the stem and is of blowout-proof design. It blocks flow in two directions, upstream and downstream, leaving full pressure on the opposite end of the valve. With a built-in spanner wrench handle, the Type 21 allows for easy disassembly and/or maintenance.
Other features include: Teflon® seats with EPDM or Viton®; full vacuum rating; socket, threaded, flanged or butt models; seals made from EPDM, Viton® and AFLAS®; and a two-year warrantee.
