Type 14 Diaphragm Valves

Asahi/America., Inc., a leading manufacturer of engineered, thermoplastic fluid handling systems, introduces its new Type 14 Diaphragm valve in sizes 1/2" to 4". The Type 14 features all thermoplastic construction for superior corrosion resistance in aggressive applications. Available either flanged, pneumatically or electrically actuated, or in True Union design (1/2"-2"), the Type 14 is ideal for a wide range of various applications.

The Type 14’s True Union design permits installation or repair without expanding the pipeline, and easy removal by simply loosening the two union nuts. The flanged Type 14 Diaphragm valve offers face-to-face dimensions that are equivalent to most commonly used metallic valves and protects internals through superior sealing arrangement. Pneumatically actuated Type 14 valves feature actuator housing made from glass-filled polypropylene. The electric version, featuring die-cast aluminum housing with baked powder epoxy coating, meets NEMA IV and VII requirements.

Other features of the Type 14 diaphragm valve include: position indicator; travel stop; excellent throttling capabilities due to weir design; square actuator to body or bonnet to body design (1/2"-2"); body construction from PVC, CPVC, PP or PVDF; and conformity to the Type G diaphragm valve.

Asahi/America, Inc. specializes in high purity thermoplastic fluid handling products, including pipes and fittings, valves, actuators, controls and flow instrumentation. The company maintains an extensive custom fabrication department, and provides on-site consultation, supervision and training where required.
