The Westlock K-10 electro-pneumatic positioner accepts variable instrumentation signals (between 4 and 20 milliamps) from a PLC, DCS, set point controller, etc. and regulates the 80-psi air supply to and from the actuator. This process regulates the actuator position within its quadrant for precise modulation.
P-10 Positioners
The Westlock P-10 pneumatic positioner accepts variable pneumatic instrumentation signals (typically between 3 and 15 psig) and regulates the 80-psi air supply to the actuator via a characterized cam, diaphragm and spool. The diaphragm receives an input pressure signal from the controller, which applies force to the spool valve spring causing the spool valve to move. This movement modifies the air pressure to the actuator, permitting the actuator to respond accordingly. The characterized cam transmits the actuator movement to the spool valve
Digital Postioners
Asahi America, Inc. is now offering the DHC-100 digital positioner for the Series 92 and Series 94 Electric Actuators. The DHC-100 is a high performance digital positioner, providing 450 points of resolution for quarter turn actuators ranging from 2 sec to 120 sec and rated for a 25% duty cycle or more. The DHC-100 has many automatic advanced features that will enhance our actuators while maintaining ease of installation and calibration.
The simple three button control is used to configure all parameters the unit needs for a wide variety of applications, and allows the open and closed positions to be easily set for direct or reversing acting without any rewiring. The unit can be configured for various command types (4-20mA, 1-5V, 0-5V, 0-10V, or a digital command) and its default operation upon loss of command.
